City Peak Conveyancing is a licensed NSW conveyancing practice that acts only on property conveyancing, for buyers and sellers anywhere in New South Wales. We check the contract, handle the searches and paperwork, and settle electronically through PEXA, explaining every step in plain English.
Conveyancing is the legal work involved in transferring property from one owner to another. In NSW it covers the contract for sale, the certificates and searches, the deposit, transfer duty, your lender's requirements and settlement.

- We review it. Marcelino reads the contract and certificates and calls you to explain what they mean
- We handle exchange. Including the deposit and cooling off period
- We manage the steps to settlement. Searches, your lender, transfer duty and the other side
- We settle. Electronically through PEXA, and confirm when the keys can be released

Common questions
FAQs
What does a conveyancer do?
A conveyancer handles the legal side of buying or selling property: the contract, searches, deposit, transfer duty and settlement.
Is a conveyancer the same as a property lawyer?
Not quite. Both can do conveyancing in NSW. A licensed conveyancer specialises in property transactions; a solicitor can also advise on other areas of law. See conveyancer or property lawyer?
When should I contact a conveyancer?
Before you sign anything or bid at auction. Once you exchange, you are legally bound.
City Peak Conveyancing acts on NSW property only. This page is general information, not advice about your circumstances.
